David Martin Horwood is the President and Founder of S.E.A. Graphics Inc.  He is an established expert and entrepreneur in GIS (Geospatial Information System) technology with a passion for designing, developing and implementing software.

For over 25 years, Mr. Horwood has also been a consultant for various GIS related industries worldwide. He specializes in software design, systems integration, database architecture and implementation in the sectors of cadastral data management, land surveying, resource management, land administration and three dimensional visualization. His vision, strategy and design have resulted in robust products and systems that have stood the test of time.

As a consultant, he is recognized for the development and implementation of industry standard database models for land information using ArcGIS technology (from ESRI, the worldwide leader in GIS software). His breadth of experience benefits a wide range of clients, from relatively small counties and municipalities to entire provinces, across Canada as well as into the U.S. and abroad.

While Mr Horwood has a degree in Computer Science and expertise in GIS, he is also a second generation Ontario Land Surveyor specializing in Geospatial Information Management (GIM).  He has developed a strong, hands-on knowledge in land surveying while working at his father’s surveying firm.  He also currently serves on the Council of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS).

His success as an entrepreneur is a result of his combined background in GIS and land surveying with a foundation in computer science giving him a unique perspective as a consultant and software developer.
